Planning 2011

Okay. There were easier ways to get my own organizer / planner. Like buying one for starters. Or waiting for someone to give it to me as a gift. Hell, collecting Starbucks coupons would have been easier. But…for some reason, I decided to make my own.

I wanted specific blanks and tables in my planner and I wanted a certain kind of paper for it too.  Some planners have one but not the other. Some look functional but too boring. Some look nice but scrimp on the functionality part. So, I just decided I’ll make my own.

I thought it would be easy enough. Cobble together a few illustrations, lay out the pages and print them on my deskjet.

Unfortunately, it took weeks to print the interiors with continuous trial and error and a lot of wasted pages.

But, despite all the headaches, I’m pretty happy with how it all turned out. Maybe I’ll even sell a version of it in 2012. Anybody interested? ;P

Levi’s

I’ve been easing myself into blogging again. I had a bunch of health problems during the last quarter of 2010 and I’ve been swamped with work since January of this year. Anyway, I thought I’d warm up by posting a few things.

Here are a bunch of Levi’s Posters I did a couple of years back. Levi’s Philippines was our client and I guess these studies never got approved, so this is the only place they’ll ever see the light of day.  ;P

Bag Love

My cousins recently asked me to do designs for their children’s party giveaways. Their kids will be having their birthday parties and they thought of bags as giveaways (wow! free messenger bags). It was all for love and family so I agreed to do it. Unfortunately, they felt that the designs above didn’t fit their theme. So I had to do it all over again. In the end, they chose the designs below. Kind of ironic, because I spent more time doing the pattern for the first design than I did with the second batch.
